Students enjoy our visiting author events in our Library Learning Commons.
Introduction
The Helen Comstock Martin Library Learning Commons (named after a former principal) is truly the heart of Miller-Driscoll —a warm, welcoming space where curiosity grows and a love for reading comes to life!
- Visits & Schedule
- Daily Access: Open to our students and staff every school day from 8:45 AM to 3:15 PM.
- Weekly Classes: Children enjoy meeting with our dedicated library teachers twice a week for interactive 45-minute sessions.
- Morning Book Exchange: Early birds are welcome from 8:45 AM to 9:05 AM to drop off finished books and pick out new favorites to start their day.
- Nurturing Young Readers & Thinkers
- Inspiring Stories: We introduce students to a rich variety of literary genres, celebrated authors, and creative illustrators to spark a lifelong joy of reading.
- Building Lifelong Skills: Kids learn how to care for books, explore beginner-friendly digital resources safely, and develop essential research skills.
- Collaborative Spirit: Our library team partners closely with classroom teachers to help every child feel confident, curious, and well-prepared for their learning journey.
